Show HN: Typos – Render Typst Documents to Thermal Printers (Go and ESC/POS)
Source: Show HN ·
I built typos because handling CJK fonts (Korean in my case) natively on thermal printers using standard ESC/POS code pages was pretty terrible. Instead of messing with internal fonts, I've decided to write a simple script that can do Typst -> Image -> Print. It features CLI, an optional REST server with async job queue and with template support. The core Go CLI and printer logic are 100% hand-written. I experimented with AI tools via Opencode to write the REST API once the core logic was done (detailed full disclosure in the README), which is entirely optional. Repo: https://github.com/shlewi
